I have really not been motivated in the workplace over the past few months. It all started when another company sprung up in the area, and started snipping away our best talent. I did my best to hang tight, as I myself am very new to this industry, and knew that being disloyal at this stage in the game would not prove to be beneficial in the end. But as people left one by one, you could see morale dropping as if it were a tangible object completely taken by gravity. Our company is a smart one, though, because they immediately started showing each of us how much we were appreciated and how we were a part of this team. They hosted several team building events that I rather enjoyed, and I think things are finally starting to calm down around here. I for one have a better outlook concerning the next months to come.
